About Scottish Ancestral Research
My name is Alison Spring, Scottish Ancestral Research's genealogy detective. I'm a qualified genealogist, with over 40 years' research experience and a Master's degree in Family & Local History from the University of Dundee.
I am an experienced genealogy tutor, as well as recently writing articles for "Family Tree" magazine - you can read one of them here.
I give talks, presentations and workshops on a variety of family history topics, and have spoken at RootsTech, Family Tree Live, The Genealogy Show, and FamilyRoots. You can watch two of my RootsTech Connect presentations here. If you would like me to speak to your organisation or at an event, check out my presentations page, and get in touch using the "Contact" link above or via social media.
And you can follow my Frugal Family Historian blog, where I post regular news and tips about doing genealogy on a budget!
